How to unload program from memory

In my case I think the program causing the debugger conflict is AVG but I have no idea how to disable this program short of just uninstalling the entire thing. How to unload Debugger from Memory? When I try to open a program application which I've already used successfully for over 10 days, I'm now getting an Error Msg: "Debugger has been found running in your system. Please unload it from memory and restart your program".
