Cannot open links in internet explorer windows 7

This is so frustrating to have a new computer and not have Internet Explorer work. Sorry to hear about you not able to connect to other sites. What or if is the error message you receive when trying to connect to other sites? What are you IE security settings set to? I just got this all fixed. There was no error message. Yes No. Sorry this didn't help. Thanks for your feedback. I am running windows 7 but can't open any links in explorer. One example is while doing this post it shows similar questions on the right but won't allow me to open them. Another example is in the internet explorer help section,it has "ask casey" or "email microsoft" none of which I can open. On facebook if someone posts a link again I cannot open it. Same with internet banking, I click on the netbank link and it won't open.

Can someone please help as I can't open anything to find answers. This thread is locked.
