Copy part of file to another file




















I have two diffrent files, in one there is a part that is complicated enough that I would rather not rebuild it in the new file but instead transfer it in. Can I copy and paste?. Does the file with the complex component only contain the one part or does it contain multiple parts that you don't want to import into the new design.

If the file only contains the one part than all you have to do is just drag the file from your data panel onto your layout in Fusion assuming that you have new design open. This will automatically prompt a "Move" dialog box to come up. Hopefully this answered all of your questions. There's nothing wrong with the sed command you give in the example; in what way does it fail? If the input file has incorrect line endings, you will need to convert them first. Try dos2unix. Add a comment.
